Bag Dump Stations
These bag dump stations are compact, self-contained units built to eliminate the labor, waste, and potential health hazards associated with the spillage and dust normally caused when bagged materials are introduced into processing systems. They are constructed of Type 304 stainless steel with welded interior and exterior. Each station consists of a large collection hopper topped by a bar grate and hinged door, an integral pulse-jet filtration unit equipped with polyester cartridge filters, and a 2-hp, 865-cfm fan. When the hopper door is opened, the fan automatically starts to ensure that any dust is drawn through the filter. The sloped sides of the hopper angle toward the hopper’s discharge port, which can be joined to gravity-fed spouting or to an airlock and pneumatic line.

Baghouse Dust Collector
Coupled with Dura-Life “Twice the Life” filter bags, the LP baghouse dust collector is a high-efficiency reverse air collector. The main advantage of the unit is its cleaning arm, which is manufactured with a flow-stop plate that keeps air from flowing through the filter bags. This minimizes dust reentrainment on the clean bags. Other benefits include: integrated helix in hopper reduces dust holding on filter bags; single inlet, outlet, and hopper reduces ducting and hopper outlet costs; requires no compressed air; and optional live-bottom hopper grinds dusts to prevent bridging in the hopper.

Closed-Cycle Dust Recovery System
Available on a full line of bulk bag dischargers, this closed-cycle material dust recovery system controls, collects, and reintroduces migrant material dust back into process operations. This reduces material waste and protects personnel and equipment from potentially harmful airborne contaminants. The process begins by enclosing the spouted bulk bag and feed tube within a sealed containment cylinder. When material discharge begins, migrant material dust is trapped within the containment cylinder and kept from spreading throughout the work area. The trapped material dust is extracted from the containment cylinder using a self-contained, point source dust collection and filtration unit. The collection unit’s variable frequency motor/blower draws material from the cylinder at volumes up to 300 cfm. The high-efficiency filtration stage recovers material particulate as small as 1 µm at a MERV11-rated efficiency. At the completion of the closed-cycle material dust recovery process, a high-pressure blast of air pulses the filter to remove the material dust and reintroduce the recovered material back into the process operation.

Sanitary Bag Dump
This sanitary bag dump station for pneumatic conveying systems collects dust created during manual dumping of bulk materials from bags, boxes, drums, and other containers, and allows rapid, tool-free washdown. Optional rocker arms support the hood assembly above the hopper rim, thereby eliminating the need for operators to lift and remove the hood during cleaning and inspection. A stainless rotary airlock valve with integral support rails allows the rotor assembly to separate from the valve body for sanitizing of material contact surfaces, also without tools. A high-velocity vacuum fan draws airborne dust from the operator’s atmosphere onto two cartridge filters. Automatic reverse-pulse filter cleaning allows continuous, efficient operation. Timed blasts of compressed plant air inside the cartridge filters causes dust buildup on outer filter surfaces to fall into the hopper.

Vertical Cartridge Collector
The Model UVC Ultra-Flo vertical cartridge dust collector has been designed to handle a variety of in-plant air quality problems. Its compact size allows for installation in tight areas, while the modular design allows for multiple arrangements to handle airflows from 500 to 25,000 cfm. The vertical orientation of the cartridges requires less cleaning effort because the dust falls directly into a collection hopper without depositing back onto itself, which can occur with horizontal cartridges. The optional high inlet on the UVC reduces velocity, allowing for more-efficient operation at lower differential pressures.

Downdraft Series Dust Collector
With the Modu-Kleen downdraft dust collector, the air enters at the top of the dust collector housing and flows downward to the cartridge filters, thereby improving the filtering process and the material-to-air ratio. Air velocities are lower than those with a conventional dust collector, reducing the load on each filter cartridge and extending filter life. Cartridge filters are positioned horizontally, requiring less floor space and making filter removal easier. Personnel never have to enter the filter housing for general maintenance or for cartridge filter removal. This provides a safe and quick method of filter removal. For fast and easy inspections, a large, quick-opening door allows maintenance personnel to closely inspect each cartridge when required. In addition, any single cartridge can be removed without disturbing adjacent cartridges. Also, each cartridge filter has a unique built-in quarter-turn bayonet mount, so no tools of any kind are required for cartridge removal.

Cyclonic Preseparator for Vacuums
The Dust Deputy converts an ordinary shop vacuum into a high-efficiency cyclone vacuum. It separates more than 99% of all dust and material before the vacuum barrel, thereby solving filter clogs and maintenance problems. Material separation is easy to see in the clear cyclone, with nearly all waste going into the container under the cyclone, not into the shop vacuum. The unit is ideal for separating carbon and many other fine dusts that would quickly clog a vacuum filter. It can be mounted directly on or used with any standard shop vacuum.

Wet Scrubber
The ACO wet scrubber efficiently collects dust, odor and bad smells, and gas and vapor by mixing liquid with gas containing dust. Gas containing dust is introduced to the narrow pass between the guide plate and liquid surface and passes through quickly with much liquid, disperses it, and creates a vortex at the scrubbing part. Features include: simple construction; easy maintenance with no moving parts; no pump required because the gas can disperse liquid; and low running cost because of low pressure drop.
