The Particle-Sizer-HH is a compact device with a high output capacity that can be used to reduce large chunks or lumps of dry bulk solids to a fine powder. The crusher-milling device uses a high-speed spiked rotary cutter to sweep the solids past a series of sharp stationary cutter bars mounted in a ‘sizing cage’. The device can be used by itself with moderately oversize materials or in combination with one of our other crusher designs for large chunks, and optional cutter designs and cage sizes allow for output size adjustability as small as 50 mesh. This machine can be made to be suitable for sanitary applications and/or in a variety of exotic materials of construction. Stedman offers a variety of size reduction solutions, including the Aurora dual rotor crusher for lump breaking in pneumatic conveying or unloading. The H Series cage mill is also available for sizing various materials, including wet, sticky, and dry materials, in 2-4 or 6-row design, with capacities up to 250 tn/hr. Hammer mills with two-stage reduction effectively reduce a wide range of materials. Stedman, Aurora, IN 800-262-5401 www.stedman-machine.com

The Delumper 2020LP is a powerful, high-capacity crusher that easily reduces large volumes of wet, dry, sticky, hard, and soft agglomerates and lumps to a free-flow condition. The crusher features an efficient low-friction cutting action that is excellent for processing large quantities of chemicals, fats, sludge cake, plastics, waste, and more. This straight-through unit utilizes specially designed teeth that rotate through a bar cage with a complete self-cleaning action. Solids are reduced to their basic grain size without overgrind, heat rise, or fines. Lumps up to the full inlet opening size can be processed. The unit runs at low speed and creates little vibration or noise. The crusher is solidly constructed with a one-piece, seamless body, and has individually replaceable teeth. It is supplied with lip-type shaft seals and heavy tapered roller bearings. Franklin Miller Inc., Livingston, NJ 973-535-9200 www.franklinmiller.com

The Mikro ACM-e air classifying mill has been specifically designed for the carbon black industry. The enhanced model offers improved product quality and is cleaner and nearly grit-free compared to other air classifier mills. The mill is energy efficient, exhibiting low pressure drop, and thus requiring less power than similar capacity systems. The mill is designed for ambient and hot gas operation. PLC-based controls result in superior production capabilities and precise processing. This system can be easily integrated with existing systems and can be installed in-line. Models are available from laboratory size up to production sizes with 300-HP rotor drives. Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems, Summit, NJ 908-277-9205 www.hmicronpowder.com

u10b5_127939.jpgClassifier Mills
The CLM Series of classifier mills is a combination of two stages of closed-circuit grinding and air classification in one unit. This particular mill outperforms single-stage mills when handling difficult-to-grind products and those products requiring a narrow particle distribution. Materials that are difficult to grind and those that require a finer grind and/or a narrower particle distribution curve than is practical to produce in a fine grinder often require the capabilities of the CLM classifier mill. Oversized particles that are larger than specified are rejected by the classifier and are directed to a separate part of the grinding rotor where they are reground and then reclassified. The large access door on these classifier mills allow for quick inspection and/or cleaning of the main rotor as well as the classifier rotor. In addition, the automatic door interlock prevents access to the mill internals during operation and prevents dangerous motion during access. The Rigimill fixed hammer hammer mill has been successfully applied to grind many different products in the dairy, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and agricultural industries. The fixed hammer design provides higher efficiency grinding with versatility for a broad range of applications. The hammer mill has a housing design that does not require air venting or pneumatic conveying to move material through the grinding chamber, even for many finer grind specifications. The hammer mill is well suited for sanitary and even USDA Dairy applications due to its simple and easy access design. Machine and Process Design Inc., Anoka, MN 877-224-0653 www.mpd-inc.com
