Firefighters responded to the Wisconsin plant on Saturday afternoon after a machine fire broke out.

A blaze ignited in a piece of machinery at the Georgia-Pacific facility in Green Bay, WI on Saturday afternoon, causing an estimated $50,000 in damage, several local news organizations reported.

Firefighters were dispatched to a report of a machine fire at the South Broadway Street site at about 4:15 p.m., television news station WFRV said, citing information from the Green Bay Metro Fire Department (GBMFD).

A fire official told WBAY that the fire started in a conveying system after paper products became too hot. The plant’s sprinkler system activated and doused the flames.

No injuries were logged during the incident, according to coverage by SeehaferNews.com.

Georgia-Pacific’s Green Bay location manufactures an array of commercial and retail brands of paper products, including napkins, towels, and bath tissue, information on the firm’s website states.
