Nestle Purina US Names New President

Nestle Purina PetCare company promoted its chief marketing officer Nina Leigh Krueger to president of Nestle Purina US, the company announced Friday.

She will report directly to chief executive officer Joseph R. Sivewright.

“Nina Leigh has played a vital role in our Company’s exceptional results for more than two decades,” Sivewright said in making the announcement.  “I’m confident her passion, track record of leadership and building businesses, and relentless commitment to Purina will lead to even greater success moving forward.”

Krueger will be responsible for generating demand, including sales, and running Purina’s Market Development Organization. She will retain existing resonibilities for Purina’s marketing group, including dog food, cat food, treats, and litter. 

Joining Purina in 1993 as a brand management intern, Krueger has held a number of marketing positions and was “instrumental” in the success of several brands, including Beneful, according to Nestle Purina.

In 2010, she was promoted to vice president of marketing of Golden Products, leading the rollout of Tidy Cats LightWeight, Tidy Cats with Glade, and other products. Krueger was named chief marketing officer of Nestle Purina US in 2015.
