Nestlé South Africa to Sell Pet Food/PURINA Business

As part of on-going strategic reviews of its regional portfolio, Nestlé South Africa has announced the signing of an agreement to sell its Pet Food/PURINA business to Martin & Martin, allowing Nestlé to focus on strategic priorities.

The divestment includes local Pet Food/PURINA brands and Nestlé’s Pet Food/PURINA manufacturing facility in N’dabeni, with 96 employees transferring to Martin & Martin.

Nestlé South Africa is confident that this decision is in the best interests of the business and employees and other key stakeholders including its customers, distributors, and consumers.

The agreement is subject to the approval of the South African competition authorities.
