Honeywell Process Solutions has introduced a new, flexible framework of preventative field instrumentation services called Total Care Services, intended to improve safety, equipment reliability, and system performance, the company recently announced.

The system is said to help operators transition from reactive maintenance to a global common framework that allows effective, proactive maintenance planning.

“We understand the importance of aligning service strategies with business strategies. With a Honeywell Total Care Services agreement, we can help our customers achieve their long-term objectives. This holistic view of asset investment support is a lifecycle approach that can be tailored to meet specific needs,” said Louis Oquendo, Honeywell Process Solutions services marketing leader in a press release. “Manufacturers get increased value by outsourcing maintenance to a vendor that is able to deliver efficiency and cost control, allowing operators to focus on core activities that are critical to success in today’s challenging business environment.”

As companies are faced with hiring freezes, aging maintenance workforces, challenges finding skilled labor pools and other issues, Honeywell said its Total Care Services framework offers operators a visual check and basic preventative maintenance on all Honeywell equipment, reducing unplanned interventions, and saving costs.
