Foremark Boosts Triazine Capacity at Texas Plant

Intermediate chemicals and derivatives manufacturer Foremark Preformance Chemicals wrapped up a project at its La Porte, TX plant that expanded its triazine production operations, the company announced this week. The project was initiated in response to increased shale oil and gas production in North America.

“These investments showcase our ongoing commitment to innovate, drive long-term growth, and meet the needs of our customers,” Randy Owens, the firm’s chief executive officer, said in a company press release. “This expansion is squarely in line with our strategy and follows the recent opening of our Oil and Gas Product Development and Application Lab.”

Foremark installed a new triazine reactor, added storage and handling capabilities, and doubled its truck and rail loading capacity at the site.

Triazine products are used to scavenge from crude oil, natural gas, and liquified natural gas. Sold under the PureMark brand, Foremark’s triazine offerings help to increase safety, safeguard equipment, and help oil and gas products meet specifications.
