Etihad Rail Joins TSI

The Sulphur Institute recently welcomed Etihad Rail as a new member to its organization.

“The addition of Etihad Rail to TSI demonstrates TSI’s service to all aspects of the sulphur and related industries,” said Catherine Randazzo, TSI president and CEO. Etihad Rail is developing and will operate a 266km network in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to transport granulated sulfur daily from sources in Shah and Habshan, in the Western Region, for export abroad at the port of Ruwais.

“Etihad Rail represents an important and growing aspect of TSI’s membership and the sulfur industry at large: the transportation sector,” said Mark Whittemore, executive vice president, Oxbow Sulphur, and TSI chair. “We look forward to welcoming additional members from the Middle East to this valuable global organization as we continue to advocate for all involved in the business of sulfur.”

Founded in 1960, TSI represents all stakeholders actively engaged in producing, buying, selling, handling, transporting, or adding value to sulfur on a global basis. For more information, visit www.sulphurinstitute.org.
