A pressure tank overheated and exploded at the Absolutely Natural manufacturing plant in Melbourne, FL on Monday, injuring two workers and causing damage to the facility, according to local news coverage.

Officials said the blast occurred at about 10:40 a.m. when liquid in the vessel reached a temperature of 170 degrees, the Melbourne Fire Department told FloridaToday.com. Some reports said the tank contained lotion at the time of the incident, while other accounts stated that the material was hair conditioner.

A 64-year-old man was airlifted to an area hospital after he suffered second-degree burns that covered 60% of his body. Another worker, a woman, received minor injuries when the explosion tore through the wall she was next to, NBC News affiliate WESH reported.

The city’s building inspector and the Melbourne Fire Department are conduction an investigation into the cause of the blast. Officials notified OSHA about the incident.

Established in Melbourne in 1992, Absolutely Natural produces products for facial, hair, and body, and baby care and sunscreens using natural and organic ingredients.
