Intrinsically Safe Weighing Terminal

77184_opt.jpgThe IND560x intrinsically safe weighing terminal brings performance and versatility into hazardous areas. Designed for both process control and manual weighing operations, the IND560x is ideal for weighing in Division 1 or Zone 1/21 areas. It features analog or Electro Magnetic Force Restoration (EMFR) weighing technologies, offers discrete input/output options, and communicates via serial, Ethernet and a variety of PLC interfaces. It also features a highly configurable operator interface with numerous programmable, on-screen prompts. The user can weigh, control, connect, and comply simply and efficiently with the terminal. Heavy-Duty Balance

77185_opt.jpgThe PH series is easy to use and reliable in tough environments, as a result of its steel construction. With a bright backlit LCD display, easy-to-use keyboard and capacities from 10 to 32 kg with 0.1 g divisions, the PH series is ideal for dry processing applications. The unit will also determine density. Intelligent Weighing Technology, Ventura, CA, www.intelligentwt.com

Dual Weigh Scale Module

77186_opt(1).jpgThe HI 1769-2WS dual-scale, in-chassis weigh scale module reads and conditions weight and diagnostic data supplied by strain gauge load sensors or load cells of two independent scales. It then communicates this data over an integrated backplane to the Allen-Bradley CompactLogix or MicroLogix 1500 processor. This weigh scale module reduces installation time and system costs, as the system needs no external stand-alone scale instrument with a wired communications link to the PLC. The weighing module includes Hardy’s core technologies: Waversaver ignores the effects of surrounding vibration, providing stable weight reading; C2 calibrates electronically without using test weights; and Integrated Technician (IT) diagnoses and troubleshoots system issues. Checkweigher and Metal Detector

77187_opt.jpgThis package offers the added benefits of needing only one conveyor and saving valuable line space because of its compact design. The checkweigher has a user-friendly display and menu screens. The WeighChek comes standard with a high-impact touch screen that is fully rotatable and tiltable. There is a range of automatic rejects offered as well. The combination system has a compact design to permit installation in confined line layouts, and there is two-way communication between the checkweigher and metal detector. Users will have quick and easy removal of individual conveyors or belts to preserve efficiency, and it can be sealed to washdown or non washdown specifications. Stainless-Steel Scale

77188_opt(1).jpgThe Admiral series stainless-steel bench scales, with one-gram graduations, are designed for speed and accuracy. The heavy-duty scale platform provides a stable base for high-usage, food processing applications. Additionally, the scale column’s flow-through design avoids the buildup of unnecessary materials and water collecting in crucial weighing areas and helps provide a clean weighing environment for sanitary locations. The Admiral is built with the operator in mind for ease of use, and the stable weight display is positioned at a proper height and tilts so that it doesn’t impede on the product being weighed when performing keypad entries. Sanitary Bag Dump Weigh Batching System

77189_opt.jpgThis sanitary bag dump weigh batch station collects dust created during manual dumping of bulk materials from bags, boxes, drums, and other containers, and discharges bulk material by weight. A high-velocity vacuum fan draws airborne dust onto two cartridge filters. Automatic reverse-pulse filter cleaning maintains efficient, continuous operation by releasing short blasts of compressed plant air inside the cartridge filter on alternating cycles, dislodging dust buildup on outer filter surfaces. A hopper discharges into an integral flexible screw conveyor supported by a boom that cantilevers from the frame of the system, the entire weight of which is supported on four load cells, allowing loss-of-weight batching. A controller runs the flexible screw conveyor, first at high feed rate, then at dribble feed rate, stopping material flow once the accurate batch weight has been discharged. Dual Auger Scale

77190_opt.jpgThe APO dual auger scale is designed with variable-speed augers, perfecting the art of bulk and dribble weighing. The T-3000 weigh controller allows the packer to feed material at three sequential speed settings, which results in faster and more accurate measurements. This machine is ideal for powder ingredients and flours. Taylor Products, a division of Magnum Systems, Parsons, KS, www.magnumsystems.com

Modular Weighing System

77191_opt.jpgThe Accu-Portion modular weighing system maintains accuracy to one-tenth of one percent regardless of supply bin capacity (standard from 0.5 to 100 cu ft) or the quantity of automated ingredients. Modules are capable of feeding and weighing 1–12 ingredients, can be combined to provide 32 or more materials or ingredients within a system, and can process multiple scales simultaneously, maximizing production speed. Modules are available in multiple supply bin configurations and scale hopper designs, eliminating product cross-contamination. These modular designs allow for system expansion or modification. PC/PLCs provide real-time batching data such as weights, batching status, alarm conditions, and batch history. Prater-Sterling, Bolingbrook, IL, www.prater-sterling.com
