Hardy Instruments Inc. recently appointed Ric Rummel as director of global sales. Based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in San Diego, Rummel will have a key role in expanding existing and new business worldwide, including developing new growth opportunities.

Prior to his appointment at Hardy Instruments, Rummel was with Mettler Toledo, joining them after the 1999 acquisition of Dickey Scales, Tampa, Florida. In 1990, Rummel began his career in weighing with Fairbanks Scales in Houston. He started out as a field engineer and rapidly worked his way up through various management positions in weighing and process control. He was named Salesperson of the Year on three different occasions, Growth Champion in 2006, and 2007 Sales Manager of the Year in the Mettler Toledo Industrial Business.
