Fairbanks Scales Acquires Automated Access Solutions

Fairbanks Scales Inc. has announced the purchase of a majority of the assets of Automated Access Solutions (AAS) from PDQ Manufacturing Inc., a subsidiary of Dover Corp.

AAS is engaged in the business of designing, manufacturing, and marketing automated access systems used in vehicle weighing applications. Automated Access Solutions has become a leader in the implementation of unattended vehicle weighing applications.

This acquisition will support and strengthen Fairbanks’ heavy capacity business. According to Bob Jozwiak, vice president of sales and marketing of Fairbanks Scales Inc., “Unattended weighing systems are becoming more and more important to our customers. We believe that the addition of Automated Access Solutions to the Fairbanks offering will give us the broadest unattended product line in the industry.”
