Article-Tometich Joins CPM Roskamp Champion as Test Center Manager

CPM, a leading supplier of process equipment and technology for the animal feed, oilseed, biofuels, and human food processing industries, announces the appointment of Patty Tometich as test center manager. Tometich will be responsible for all applications testing at CPM’s pelleting and particle size reduction test center in Waterloo, IA.
Tometich has more than 16 years of experience testing materials and providing applications solutions for customers across various industries. Most recently she served as test lab manager for University of Northern Iowa’s National Ag-Based Lubricants Center in Waterloo. As a test lab supervisor for Nestle Beverage, she was responsible for process evaluation and development for powdered drink mixes. Tometich holds a bachelor’s degree in food science and technology from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in food science from University of Illinois.
“Patty’s knowledge and years of experience managing test labs will provide our customers with the best recommendations for both pelleting and grinding needs,” said Jim Hughes, CPM general manager. “We are very pleased to welcome Patty to the CPM Roskamp Champion team.”
CPM’s test center processes samples of customers’ materials in a lab that simulates full scale equipment — pellet mills, hammer mills, roll crushers, and shredders — to determine the most cost-efficient and effective means to consistently produce customized pelleting and grinding solutions. Information developed from this testing is central to product offerings, guaranteed equipment sizing, process recommendations, installation, start-up, and commissioning requirements.
CPM business units include California Pellet Mill, Roskamp Champion, Beta Raven, Century Extrusion, Wolverine Proctor, Crown Iron Works, and Greenbank Technology. CPM has more than 900 employees with production facilities in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. In addition to animal feed, oilseed, biofuels, and human food processing industries, CPM Roskamp Champion’s equipment and technology can provide applications solutions for the chemicals, plastics, minerals, abrasives, ceramics, metals, woods, polymers, pet food, biomass, rendering, and recycle industries.
