Surge in European Membership for The Sulfur Institute

Citis, SA, Franz Fischer Spedition GmbH and Sandvik Process Systems, all European-based companies with years of involvement in the sulfur industry, have joined The Sulphur Institute (TSI).

Hermann H. Wittje, The Mosaic Co. and TSI chair, commented, “The increased understanding of TSI’s value to the global sulfur industry continues to expand, and as evidenced by the action of these companies, keenly aware to Europe.”

Catherine A. Randazzo, TSI president and CEO, added, “We heartily welcome these companies to TSI. They continue to reflect the growing diversity of TSI in the contribution its members make to the industry. These companies represent key transporters in the region and Sandvik is known worldwide for its equipment to support the industry.”  

In commenting further about TSI value, Randazzo added, “TSI’s programs in transportation regulations and logistics as well as environment, health and safety, are of keen interest to Citis and Franz Fischer Spedition with Sandvik, notably interested in TSI’s Sulphur Advocacy program.” 

During the last year, TSI has welcomed seven new members from Europe, Latin America, and North America to support its mission and programs.

Founded in 1960, TSI represents all stakeholders actively engaged in producing, buying, selling, handling, transporting, or adding value to sulfur on a global basis.
