Sponsors, Agenda Highlights Announced for Global Chemicals Management Conference

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the Synthetic Organic Chemical Manufactures Association (SOCMA) have announced that Bergeson and Campbell P.C, Keller and Heckman LLP, ICIS Chemical Business, LAB Research, and Atrion International have confirmed their sponsorship of this year’s GlobalChem Conference and Exhibition being held in Baltimore, April 6-8.

For more than 20 years, the GlobalChem conference has provided a unique educational opportunity for chemical industry professionals. Participation in this conference provides attendees with information and interaction with experts on the U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), emerging issues and trends in the product stewardship arena, and equivalent international regulations.

“In tough economic times, it is more important than ever to fully understand the political and regulatory climate in which American chemistry does business,” said ACC president and CEO Cal Dooley. “By bringing together key experts and advisors, the GlobalChem conference is essential to industry professionals seeking to stay abreast of current political challenges and regulatory developments that affect chemicals management.”

“With a new government and a shaky economy looming, small and medium-sized businesses must be especially prepared this year for what’s next,” said SOCMA president and CEO Joe Acker. “The GlobalChem conference is a unique and invaluable resource for businesses who want to take advantage of policy trends and avoid wasting resources on regulatory pitfalls.”

This year, interactive sessions cover key information relating to important developments in North America’s contribution to SAICM, OSHA Process Safety, OECD New Chemical Notification Program, key chemical regulatory program deadlines, and more.
