SOCMA to Hold Press Conference at 2011 Chemical Sector Security Summit

The Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) will hold a press conference at the 2011 Chemical Sector Security Summit. SOCMA’s press conference will feature a discussion of the future of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program, pending reauthorization bills in Congress and SOCMA’s reaction to the current discussions at the summit.

This press conference will take place in conjunction with the 2011 Chemical Sector Security Summit, July 6-7, and feature Lawrence D. Sloan, SOCMA president & CEO, and Bill Allmond, SOCMA vice president of government relations.

More than 600 chemical sector, government, and industry professionals are expected to attend the two-day event. The Honorable Jane Holl Lute, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, will address the summit on July 6. Click here for the summit agenda.

The event will be held at the Press Office Calloway AB provided by SOCMA
