With great anticipation and excitement, the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) is gearing up to celebrate nine decades of service to the batch chemical industry during its 90th Annual Dinner on December 5, 2011, at the Marriott Marquis Times Square in New York City.
Since SOCMA’s inception, chemical industry executives have gathered annually in New York for this highly anticipated event. SOCMA will also celebrate the past year’s successes, including the launch of SOCMA’s Marketplace and Chemical Services Directory and the ChemStewards Integrated Management System.
The Annual Dinner program will feature the announcement of a new Board of Governors chair, as well as a reception and awards ceremony for the winners of SOCMA’s Performance Improvement Awards and the newly announced Sustainability Award.
The awards honor the achievements of ChemStewards participants in environmental, health, safety, and security measures, as well as educational outreach and sustainable practices. Entertainment for the Annual Dinner will be provided by Kenn Kington, whose on the edge comedy leaves no side effects.
More than 450 of the chemical industry’s top executives will be networking with old and new friends, as well as entertaining customers to show their appreciation for the year’s business.
