The five-year anniversary of the ChemStewards Program will be among the many achievements the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) celebrates during its 89th Annual Dinner on December 6, 2010 in New York City.
For nearly a century, chemical industry executives have gathered annually in New York for this highly anticipated event. This year, SOCMA will celebrate the past year’s successes, including enhancements of several member programs and development of new partnerships with state chemical industry groups.
The Annual Dinner program will feature a reception and awards ceremony for the winners of SOCMA’s Performance Improvement Awards, sponsored by ChemStewards. The awards honor the achievements of ChemStewards participants in environmental, health, safety, and security measures, as well as educational outreach in their communities. Entertainment will be provided by the Capitol Steps, a Washington-based musical and political satire group.
