one Crusher
Booth 2711 – The Nordberg MP1250 provides up to a 30% increase in capacity as a result of advanced crushing dynamics, while increasing the horsepower to 1250 hp, but using the same footprint as the MP1000. The MP1250 has nearly a dozen key features and benefits that include: a redesigned mainframe for improved durability; a new eccentric design that provides improved surface finish and protects the eccentric in the event of overload; and a new head bushing design that further reduces head spin during no-load operation without the need for a mechanical clutch assembly. Design improvements in the mantle locknut make maintenance quicker and easier, and there are also  upgrades in the hydraulic tramp protection system, bowl adjustment and removal, and faster hydraulic re-pressurization times.  Metso Minerals Industries Inc., Waukesha, WI 262-717-2610  www.metso.com

u2526_88875.jpgUniversal Mill

luid Bed Jet Mill
Booth 1261 - The Model DPM-2 fluid bed jet mill incorporates dense-phase micronization using turbulent free-jets in combination with high-efficiency centrifugal air classification. Abrasive and temperature-sensitive products can be finely ground with minimum contamination. This simple, easy-to-clean design offers precise top size control with narrow size distributions in the 95% < 5 μm to 95% < 75 μm size range. CCE Technologies Inc.,  Cottage Grove, MN 651-688-2656 www.ccetechnologies.com

Sa88879.tifnitary Rotary De-Lumper
The low-profile Model 15X15-SS Rotary De-Clumper reduces agglomerates and friable materials being discharged from process equipment, storage vessels, and shipping containers. Material entering the square inlet is reduced in size by dual rotors with three-point, single-piece, stainless-steel breaking heads rotating with minimum clearance inside a curved, perforated bed screen. On-size material exits through apertures in the bed screen ranging from 1/32 to 2 ½ in. in diameter. The synchronized shafts rotate at approximately 100 rpm to avoid heating the product. Both the rotor assembly and the bed screen can be rapidly removed for cleaning or replacement. At 11 in. high, the unit is designed to fit in restricted spaces. It is recommended for de-lumping of free- or non-free-flowing bulk materials such as salt, sugar, spices, and resins, and size reduction of easy-to-break materials such as friable food products and other compacted powders. Munson Machinery  Company, Inc., 800-944-6644  www.munsonmachinery.com

Pin Mill
Booth 1937 - The Alpine Sugarplex 315 SX is a pin mill that is based on the milling principle of the Alpine fine impact mill UPZ and has been specially tailored to the needs of the sugar industry. It is a compact system that does not need additional filters, fan, or air-cooling units that are usual with traditional system designs for sugar milling. That means that the plant operator gains through lower investment costs, reduced space requirement, and lower cleaning and maintenance costs. Sugar is fed via a rotary valve through the mill door directly into the milling mechanism. The milling mechanism, consisting of 2 pin discs, is completely integrated into the mill door. The Sugarplex achieves throughputs of 3 tn/hr at finenesses of 97% < 250 µm or 1.5 tn/hr at finenesses of 97% < 150 µm. A frequency inverter allows users to control the rotor speed to achieve the desired fineness. Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems, Summit, NJ 908-273-6360 www.hmicronpowder.com

u361b_90738.jpgVertical Roller Mill
Booth 1204 - The VRM provides efficient fine grinding of soft to medium-hard materials. Designed for continuous operation, the basic concept of the VRM is based on the combination of a high-quality mill body and the efficient TC and ALPHA classifiers. The mill body is designed with two or three rollers and provides a sharp and very fine top cut down to d98 < 6 µm. The VRM is ideal for fine grinding and classification of a wide variety of materials including, but not limited to, calcium carbonate, dolomite, talc, bentonite, barites, petroleum, coke, calcium oxide, and gypsum.  Sweco, Florence, KY 800-807-9326 www.sweco.com

Lump Breaker
Booth 3533 - The LumpMaster reduces lumps and agglomerations in fats, sugars, sludge cake, plastics, waxes, solid waste, or any other material that compacts. The simple and economical design is easily integrated into an existing process or can be  engineered into a new feeding solution. Construction options are available for washdown or explosionproof applications. The unit comes with the company’s Performantee performance guarantee.  Hapman, Kalamazoo, MI  800-427-6260 www.hapman.com

u2e2b_89933.jpgRadial-Knife Granulators
Built for durability and reliability, these radial-knife granulators offer heavy-duty construction, greater weight, and higher capacity in continuous-duty operations. All models feature longer rotors with larger cutting circles, which increase the grate area and ultimately improve efficiency. Each model features knives that are designed with a minimum rake angle on the cutting edge to resist chipping and nicking, retaining a sharp edge longer under severe service. The granulators use fewer knives than competitive granulators, spanning the full cutting length, thereby reducing the time required for knife changing or regapping.  Triple/S Dynamics, Dallas, TX  800-527-2116 www.sssdynamics.com

ump Breaker
Booth 2814 - The Delumper crusher 1077L is a precision designed unit that reduces lumps and agglomerates to desired output with a positive once through chopping action. This unit employs a smooth rotating drum mounted with replaceable teeth that intermesh with special sizing combs. The machine easily processes a wide range of solids, reducing them to their basic grain size without fines, overgrind, or heat-rise. These materials include chemicals, minerals, plastics, pharmaceuticals, and more. The unit features one-piece, dust-tight body construction, smooth polished seamless body individually replaceable teeth, shaft seals, connecting flanges, and a low-headroom design. Units are available with sanitary design and finish, special alloys, and outboard bearings with packing seals, as well as secondary sizing screens.  Franklin Miller Inc.,  Livingston, NJ 973-535-9200  www.franklinmiller.com

Hau2961_89935.jpgmmer Mills
Booth 1405 - The G-Series hammer mills are used throughout the process industry for a wide variety of particle reduction applications requiring high capacities, power efficiency, and uniform particle size. All six models feature a full-screen design that ensures use of the entire available screen area, enhancing end-product quality, and equipment productivity. Screens are strategically placed, after extensive testing, where the majority of grinding takes place while increasing throughput capacity without increasing power requirements. The design improves access to working parts which clearly simplifies screen changes. The center feed and fully symmetrical rotors distribute the product across the full width of the screen area for even hammer wear, and allows the rotor to be reversed so that both edges of the hammers can be utilized before replacement is required Prater-Sterling,  Bolingbrook, IL 630-759-9595  www.prater-sterling.com

SDA-Accepted Jet Mill
Booth 1006 - The sanitary-design Micronizer is a USDA-accepted jet mill that utilizes a fluid energy grinding system to generate particle-on-particle impact. Designed for high performance below 325 mesh (44 μm)—the economical fineness limit of many mechanical grinders—the Micronizer can consistently produce fines as small as 0.5 μm. It uses quick-release clamps throughout the system and requires no tools for disassembly. With feasibility established in the Qualification Micronizer, scale-up is simplified in the Lab and Production Micronizers.  Sturtevant Inc.,  Hanover, MA 781-829-6501  www.sturtevantinc.com
