Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Co. will increase prices on its monomers and oligomers by the following amounts ($/lb):
• all acrylate monomers $0.12
• all oligomers $0.12
• all methacrylate monomers $0.07
• SR506 (IBOA) $0.45
• SR423 (IBOMA) $0.45
The price adjustments apply to oligomer and monomer shipments in the Americas only, beginning October 1, 2009. These adjustments are necessitated by volatility in availability and costs of key raw materials and related feedstocks.
Sartomer’s acrylate and methacrylate monomers and oligomers are used in coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants, electronics, composites, elastomers, and other applications.
