SAMPE Announces New Executive Cabinet

The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), an international professional member society, providing information on new materials and processing technologies has elected its 2011-2012 Executive Cabinet. SAMPE’s executive cabinet is elected by the SAMPE board of directors, individuals appointed to represent members based on geographic location. SAMPE’s executive cabinet consists of seven international officers that oversee yearly operations and long-term planning for the association.

SAMPE Executive Cabinet 2011- 2012:
* President - Dr. Anthony J. Vizzini, Dean, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI
* Executive Vice President - Dr. Kate Thorp, program manager, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH
* Vice President - Paul Wienhold, principal professional staff, Johns Hopkins University, Laurel, MD 
* Vice President-Europe - Bruno Beral, Airbus SAS, Blagnac Cedex, France
* Vice President-Pacific Rim - Dr. Takashi Ishikawa, executive director, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, Tokyo, Japan
* Secretary - John Green, president, The Green Sales Guy, Sandy, UT
* Treasurer - Ted Lynch, president, Strategic Marketing Innovations Inc., Washington, DC 
* Immediate Past President - Dr. Allan Crasto, University of Dayton Research Institute, Dayton, OH

In the year ahead, these individuals will oversee SAMPE’s two largest North American Conferences: SAMPE Tech, October 17-20, 2011 in Fort Worth, TX; and SAMPE 2011, May 21-24, 2012 in Baltimore. In addition to the North American conferences, the cabinet will supervise SAMPE Asia taking place February 21-22, 2012 in Kuala Lumpur. They’ll also direct the implementation of new international policies and procedures for the society.
