Ribbon blenders are manufactured in a wide range of sizes from ½ to over 500 cu ft working capacity. The blenders are offered with several agitator design possibilities. Standard options include sanitary or air-purged stuffing boxes, jackets for heating and cooling, sanitary construction, and covers to meet client’s production needs. The unit shown is a 500-cu-ft model constructed of stainless steel and designed for operation under vacuum and internal pressure. Also included is a jacket for heating and cooling and a flush-type pneumatically operated discharge valve. The drive system is powered by a 150-hp motor directly coupled to a heavy-duty reducer for operation at 22 rpm.
