Honeywell is expecting record attendance at its 2007 Users’ Group Americas Symposium, which will be held June 10-14 in Phoenix at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa with the theme “Solutions at Work.”

This year’s key topics include process safety, industrial wireless technology, corrosion monitoring, pulp and paper mill integration, advanced applications such as simulation, and the convergence of process automation systems with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

The annual conference is developed by and for Honeywell process automation customers and features educational presentations on process industry innovations and advancements. Each year, the agenda is developed by the Users Group Steering Committee that includes 12 customers and three Honeywell representatives. Last year’s Americas Users Group drew more than 850 customers from 36 countries.

“Manufacturers today need solutions that do more than execute processes or monitor variables,” said David A. Otto, ExxonMobil BOP PMX project manager and vice chairman of the Honeywell Users Group Americas steering committee. “These systems must ultimately increase a plant’s value by making it safe, secure, efficient and reliable. The goal of Honeywell Users Group is to show companies how to use today’s solutions – from control and simulation systems to wireless transmitters – to achieve those objectives.”
