Process Control Corp., a leading manufacturer of auxiliary equipment and systems for the plastic processing industry, announced the addition of Dana G. Darley as the new vice president/general manager.

Educated at Clemson University, where he received a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Darley has focused his career towards process engineering, equipment, and systems design for the plastics industry. He has authored numerous technical papers on auxiliary equipment and holds a U.S. patent regarding gravimetric control of gear pump systems.

Darley brings more than 25 years of experience in the plastics industry. His career began at Process Control in 1981 as a product development engineer and then a senior product manager. He is credited with a redesign of high-efficiency dehumidifying dryers and developing a new line of gravimetric blending and control systems for PCC. 

His career continued with LCI Corp./Maag Pump Systems Textron where he designed and developed the Smarthopper gravimetric control system and a new single piston continuous screen changer. From 2001 to 2004 he was president of Kreyenborg Industries, a screen changer, gear pump, and pelletizer manufacturer, before launching Extrusion Auxiliary Services Inc., a technical services and consulting company for extrusion equipment and systems.

Darley is considered an industry expert in many areas of extrusion auxiliary equipment, including gravimetric blending/control, resin dryers, melt filtration, and plastics recycling systems.
