PRAB Announces Acquisition of Dallas-Based Triple/S Dynamics

PRAB Inc., the parent company of Hapman, whose equipment is used worldwide for the handling of powders and bulk solids, has announced the acquisition of Triple/S Dynamics Inc., Dallas. According to PRAB officials, Triple/S employees, production, and operations will remain in Texas.

PRAB and Hapman’s global headquarters is located in Kalamazoo, MI. PRAB is principally known for its custom-engineered material and chip handling equipment as well as fluid filtration management systems.

Triple/S is recognized as a leading manufacturer of horizontal motion conveying systems, screening and separation equipment, and distribution systems for the entire processing industry, including bulk handling, waste and recycling applications. Its horizontal motion conveyors are notable for gently moving hard-to-handle materials, particularly in the food processing market where the risk of material breakdown and damage is high. Known as the Slipstick, this technology also reduces maintenance costs and increases production efficiency.

In making the announcement, Ned Thompson, Hapman president and CEO, said that the Triple/S and Hapman product lines complement one another and will enhance their position in the marketplace. “It’s a win–win and we are extremely excited to have strengthened each other’s capabilities,” said Thompson. “The companies are an excellent fit based on shared corporate values and unrelenting commitment to innovation and product performance.”

Triple/S and Hapman are similar in that their conveying and processing products are completely custom-engineered, and manufactured, offering solutions specific to every customer’s unique needs. Both Hapman and Triple/S have long-established histories and customer loyalty with a combined total of 180 years experience in the business.

According to Thompson, Triple/S current president and CEO, Jeff Sullivan, will continue in his leadership role and all Triple/S product lines will be represented by its on-going network of independent sales offices.

In addressing the mutually beneficial ownership shift, Sullivan emphasized that “Triple/S will operate as we have, very successfully, and as an industry leader, for over 120 years. We are well matched because both companies have the same mission: partnering with our customers to meet their unique challenges and deliver solutions through engineering excellence, quality manufacturing, and high-performance products.”

Both companies serve a wide array of similar markets, including food processors, as well as  chemical, water treatment, agriculture, and pharmaceutical, to name a few.
