Pettijohn Named Vice President for Evonik Industrial Chemicals

Evonik Industries has appointed Ted M. Pettijohn as vice president, Industrial Chemicals Business unit, C4-Chemistry Americas.

An experienced sales and marketing professional, Dr. Pettijohn served as vice president & deputy regional head of Evonik’s Marketing and Sales Excellence group in the Americas prior to his appointment to the Industrial Chemicals Business. He has also served as president & general manager of Evonik’s Initiators Business line and regional vice president of the Catalysts & Initiators Business Unit.

Dr. Pettijohn will report to Dr. Stefan Schulze, vice president and general manager of New Business Development for the Industrial Chemicals Business based in Frankfurt, Germany. Dr. Pettijohn will be located in Houston.

“Ted brings a wealth of experience to the Industrial Chemicals Business” said Dr. Schulze. “He has demonstrated his record of success with his broad range of knowledge in sales and marketing as well as research and development.”

Dr. Pettijohn will be responsible for Evonik’s Industrial Chemicals Unit, C4-Chemistry in the Americas as well as key global strategy projects. He holds a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin. He previously held positions with Chemtura and Chevron Philips.
