Pallmann Hires Peter Roth to Strengthen Sales in Process Technology Sectors

Peter Roth has been appointed head of Pallmann Group’s new Process Technology business unit, effective January 1. In recent years, Pallmann has experienced an increasing number of enquiries and orders from the pharmaceutical, food technology, chemicals, and related industries for its high-efficiency size reduction technologies. Orders for new plant, as well as extensive crushing and grinding tests in the company’s technical laboratory, together with calls for custom grinding, have all been rising sharply. Pallmann intends to develop this business globally with a strengthened organization, headed by Roth.

Roth has held various senior positions in the automotive industry, most recently with a well-known parts supplier. Before that, he worked for a plant engineering company specializing in welding. He will apply the strategic approach typical of the automotive industry to his new position. "Pallmann already has a very wide range of size reduction technologies, but these need to be tailored to the process technology business area,” he says.

“In the predominantly highly demanding markets that Pallmann serves, we are especially keen to establish above-average growth in turn-key projects. We intend to organize our already well-established development and supply of complex processes and high-level problem solving within a strategic sales and marketing organization."

Roth lives in France and works in Germany, and is already active worldwide in process technology projects. In his free time, he is a keen yachtsman – a pursuit that he says has taught him to make the best of prevailing conditions.

Founded in 1903 as an engineering works, Pallmann is a medium-sized family-owned enterprise that has a history covering seven generations of millers and millwrights. Now a global company, the Pallmann Group has specialized in size reduction and processing technology in various sectors. It numbers more than 1000 machine types for all materials ranging from soft to medium-hard, brittle to tough, as well as fibrous products.

Worldwide, the group employs around 700 staff, with engineering works, subsidiaries, contract grinding, and sales offices in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and China. For more information, visit www.pallmann.eu.
