Key Technology Appoints Steve Johnson as Director of Marketing

Key Technology announces the promotion of Steve Johnson to the position of director of marketing. Johnson is responsible for leading worldwide marketing activities that build awareness for the company’s automated inspection and sorting systems, specialized conveying, and processing equipment. He is overseeing the development and execution of product line strategies, branding, and marketing communications programs.

“During Steve’s tenure at Key, he has exhibited an outstanding ability to drive marketing initiatives that focus on delivering value to our customers,” said David Camp, president and CEO of Key Technology. “We are excited to expand his responsibilities and support him in developing and implementing company-wide marketing strategies that continue to build Key’s leadership momentum.”

Johnson brings more than 20 years of operational leadership and engineering experience to his new position. For the past year, he was product marketing manager responsible for Key’s family of vibratory conveyors. Previously, he was vice president and general manager for Gordon Composites, and prior to that, he worked for Key for four years as a senior manufacturing engineer. Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Weber State University.

“Key Technology is an innovative market leader known for world-class equipment and services that help food processors improve food safety and product quality while increasing operating efficiencies,” noted Johnson.  “Collaborating with our sales, engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams to bring this strong value proposition to the market is a very rewarding experience.”
