Hosokawa Micron Powder Systems will be hosting an objective educational program on “Classifying Flow Properties of Solids using the Carr Indices – identifying the flowability and floodability of dry powders” on Thursday, January 29 at 2 p.m. EST.
This Webinar will discuss some flow characteristics of dry powders and how these properties can be measured: angle of repose, angle of fall, angle of difference, aerated bulk density, packaged bulk density, compressibility, cohesion, uniformity, angle of spatula, dispersibility.
Ralph L. Carr Jr. is credited with exploring many of the properties we use to measure dry powders today. Carr was a chemical laboratory supervisor and chemist for The New York Air Brake Co. He holds degrees in chemistry and engineering from Northwestern University.
This Webinar covers methods for analysis and common measurement processes. The program will last about 30 minutes and end with a short question and answer session. The program is free and open to anyone.
