Pneumatic Conveying Systems
AirlancoThese systems streamline dilute-phase handling of dry bulk solids and provide dust control. Components are available for customizing and improving new or existing pneumatic conveying operations. Positive displacement blower packages feature heavy-duty frames and adjustable motor bases, as well as inlet and outlet silencers for a quieter working environment, indoors or out. Machined airlocks are built for the high-pressure, heavy-duty demands of dilute phase conveying—with fabricated steel rotors and rugged cast housings of carbon or stainless steel. Bag dump stations are ideal for adding minor ingredients and have a built-in fan, pulse jet cleaning, and cartridge filters for thorough and efficient dust removal. The bin vent filters out the product dust and debris captured in the conveying air as it is vented from storage bins or silos. Receivers are designed for installation at the end-point of pneumatic conveying where they collect conveyed materials and airborne particles and direct them through an airlock to their final destination or into mechanical handling systems.

Scavenger Conveyor
Martin EngineeringThe Carryback Capture System is a patented scavenger conveyor system designed to minimize problems with fugitive material in tough applications like underground mines and low-overhead transfers. It transfers belt cleaning residue back into the material stream, avoiding cleanup labor, injury potential, and dust hazards associated with buildup. The rugged construction of the system provides durability and longevity under harsh conditions, helping coal handlers and ore miners reduce safety hazards while preventing material accumulation that can impede conveyor components and increase system downtime. Its modular design was developed amidst a growing demand for tertiary cleaning systems and a trend driven in part by environmental, regulatory, and safety pressures to improve coal conveying and reduce dust emissions—as seen in OSHA’s Combustible Dust National Emphasis Program.

Rectangular Aerator
CougarCougar Industries has expanded its flow-aid product line with the introduction of its rectangular aerator product line. Rectangular aerators are an industry standard for flow-aid aeration style in concrete batch plants for cement and fly ash silos. These units are available in the industry-standard size of 3.75 × 7.5 in. and can be mounted from outside the bin using the available external mounting kit. All aerators are plated steel with either cotton or fiberglass diffusers. Aerators can be mounted to cover an effective area of a 10-in. radius from the aerator center.

Deflection Monitor for Feeders and Conveyors
The deflection monitor intelligently tracks the operation of vibratory feeders and conveyors to prevent any damage during operation. The unit can detect abnormal amounts of material on vibratory trays or when some feeder components are failing. It detects changes in tray deflection because material accumulation on the tray surface affects operation. As material accumulates on the tray surface, it adds weight to the tray, affecting performance and possibly damaging the feeder. The monitor alerts, warns, or shuts down the feeder so the tray can be cleaned to improve performance and reduce costly downtime. It uses a vibration transducer that is mounted on the tray and a comparator amplifier that monitors changes in the tray deflection. The vibration transducer sends a constant signal to the comparator amplifier. If an upset occurs and the tray becomes overloaded, the amplifier senses this and trips a relay to shut down the feeder.

High-Ratio Baghouse Dust Collector
The SPJ-BL series baghouse is a high-ratio unit that features a patented nozzle cleaning system and internal high side inlet baffles. The unit features a heavy-duty and rugged design for various fibrous dust applications. This series is ideal for 1000–5000 cfm, depending upon the dust type. It features all-welded construction. Standard hopper discharge options include a 55-gal drum and 20-cu-ft cart on wheels. Bags are easily accessed from the front via a large door. All collectors are on-line, self-cleaning units with a solid state timer board. Operation efficiency and bag life are guaranteed in writing.
