Flexible Vacuum Hose
The Genesis DPZ-C medium-weight conductive vacuum hose prevents the buildup of static charges in a wide range of industrial vacuum and light bulk material handling applications, where a spark could cause a disastrous problem. The conductive, flexible, all-plastic hose features a smooth interior for efficient air flow at full 29-in. Hg vacuum and an abrasion-resistant flat exterior that bends tightly and drags easily. Designed to prevent static buildup and enhance safety, this hose is offered in a wide variety of sizes and colors. It is available in sizes from 1¼ to 2 in. O.D.

Dry Particle Supplying Device
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has granted Horiba a new patent for this device that disperses dry particle samples into an elementary particle state during the introduction of the sample to a particle size measuring apparatus. In a typical instrument, the user places the sample into a hopper, which then distributes the sample into a feeder to regulate the flow rate of the sample being delivered to the measuring unit. Often, the sample particles adhere together due to electrostatic, magnetic, or other similar forces even in a dry state. The result can cause fluctuations of the sample flow and sample dispersion, which can lead to errors when the measuring apparatus attempts to measure and analyze the sample. This device can better supply particles in a homogeneous elementary state and a continuous flow rate, creating a highly accurate dry method test.

Bulk Bag Weigh Batch Eductor System
This bulk bag weigh batch eductor system loosens bulk solid material that has solidified during storage and shipment, discharges the material by weight, and blends it into a liquid stream. The skid-mounted system incorporates two bulk bag unloading frames, each with an integral bulk bag conditioner comprised of a hydraulic pump and two rams with contoured end plates that press opposing sides of bulk bags. The unloaders’ cantilevered hoists and motorized trolleys allow conditioning of bulk bags at various heights, as well as loading and unloading of bags without the need for a forklift. Safety interlocks disallow operation of the conditioner when the unloaders’ doors are open. Integral configuration of the conditioner eliminates the time, labor, and equipment needed for separate loading of bulk bags into a stand-alone conditioner, while consuming less floor space than two separate pieces of equipment and reducing capital cost.

Loss-In-Weight Rotary Feeder
The LWY-SC-RF loss-in-weight (LIW) rotary feeder is specifically designed to handle extremely free-flowing and fluidizable materials. Developed in direct response to customers who were experiencing poor feeding accuracy with conventional LIW screw feeders handling fine materials, the design incorporates a rotary feeder that comes in a variety of sizes and configurations to meet a wide range of feeding needs. Ideally suited for applications discharging into pneumatic conveying systems, the feeder system can be configured for either continuous LIW feeding or batch. Weighing is done through a patented low-deflection, nonwearing FMSS (Force Measurement Suspension System) flexure scale that measures vertical loading and can take high load directed overloads (1000%). The FMSS scale design uses counterweights to negate the tare weight of the support structure, feeder, and bin.

Magnetic Separator
The newly redesigned RotoGrate magnetic separator, which is ideal for products with poor flow characteristics, features a powerful motorized rotating grate magnet that processes material, such as cocoa, flour, or starch, that would bridge traditional grate assemblies. It will remove ferrous metals from powders and granular products with even the most difficult flow characteristics. The RotoGrate is available in food-grade and self-cleaning options as well as in a standard design. These options include the ability to order ceramic, alnico, or rare earth magnets to get the holding force right for the application. Custom designs are available to fit installation requirements. Optional features include the ability to transition product flow into the grate housing and
removable tube assemblies for easy cleaning.

Sanitary Low-Profile Container/Bulk Bag Densifier with Scale System
This new system is designed to automatically fill containers or bulk bags by weight and settle the contents. Sanitary Type 304 stainless-steel construction with continuous TIG welds and no tube penetrations allow for quick, thorough washdown cleaning. The compact, low-profile design is ideal for applications with limited headroom or floor space. An operator simply selects a recipe from the control panel and presses a single button to initiate the fill cycle. The batch controller sends signals to start the product in-feed system, activate the high amplitude densification system, and stop the fill system as required based on the programmed set point. NTEP-approved weigh modules are protected by a floor-mounted stainless-steel machine guard (not shown).

Volumetric Vibratory Tray Feeder
The KDA VV-260P feeder dispenses free-flowing granular materials and powders by splitting the flow of material to a multitude of discrete locations. The concept was patented in March of 2000 and the feeder is a method of dosing into applications such as reactors, mixers, furnaces, and like processes where a continuous, accurate, and evenly divided supply of an ingredient is required in multiple locations. The Pentium is a volumetric vibratory tray feeder that operates at the resonant frequency of the tray and the material on the tray. Placing the feeder on a scale and connecting with a loss-in-weight controller converts the unit to a gravimetric feeder capable of dosing free-flowing powder at accuracies equal or better than the 0.25% deviation from set point at 2 Sigma. As opposed to the high or low pulsing action of an auger, the Pentium’s output is a constant, continuous cascade of material.
