EcoSystem Appoints Bourne to Board of Directors

EcoSystem Corp. has announced the appointment of Trevor Bourne, the founder and chief executive officer of Global Ethanol LLC, to EcoSystem’s board of directors.

Founded in July 2006, Global operates two ethanol plants for a total production of 160 million gallons per year. Global considers safety to be a core principle and operates its plants from a professional chemical production perspective. Bourne has extensive chemical processing and industrial construction experience, as well as significant depth in early-stage technology and company development. He has held senior management positions for WMC Resources, Thiess Pty Ltd, and Multiplex Engineering Pty Ltd. He has developed numerous businesses, including Multiplex Engineering Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Multiplex Construction Group.

Bourne holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia, and also has military experience as a test pilot and former officer in the Australian Air Force. His appointment to the EcoSystem board of directors will become effective May 31, 2009.

Glen Courtright, EcoSystem’s president and chief executive officer, said that “Trevor brings significant experience in early-stage technology development and commercialization and has a proven track record of success building and managing chemical processing plants. These skills are strategic to our plans to acquire operational renewable energy production assets that complement our technology development efforts. We look forward to working with Trevor as we demonstrate and integrate our technologies into operating production facilities that we hope to acquire.”

Bourne’s appointment is the first step in EcoSystem’s plan to expand its management team in the event it successfully acquires one or more of its targeted acquisitions. The company recently executed a management services agreement with Global to assist in the execution of its strategic plan to acquire operational renewable energy production assets that complement the company’s technology development efforts. EcoSystem is currently evaluating a number of qualified acquisition opportunities that have the infrastructure needed to implement and scale its technologies. Additional information regarding EcoSystem’s acquisition and technology development plans will be provided later this month.

Global Ethanol LLC operates two corn-based ethanol plants for a production total of 160 million gallons per year, located in Riga, MI and Lakota, IA. The company is experienced in construction, start-up, and operations, and is a strong differentiator of all internalized functions and services with collective experience in ethanol production, plant management, grains procurement, ethanol marketing, risk management, and project development.
