Eastman Sues DAK Americas LLC to Protect Technology

Eastman Chemical Co. has filed a lawsuit against DAK Americas LLC in connection with its unauthorized use of IntegRex PET technology. Eastman developed the innovative technology for the production of PET, and continues to protect this technology with a robust patent portfolio. Eastman will vigorously defend these intellectual property assets.

Eastman filed its complaint in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware. The complaint alleges patent infringement of three Eastman patents that represent a portion of Eastman’s IntegRex technology patent portfolio.

Eastman previously filed a lawsuit against Indorama companies located in the U.S., Europe, and Thailand in connection with their unauthorized use of IntegRex PET technology.
