The CyPlus GmbH cyanide production facility in Wesseling, Germany, has been successfully audited and re-certified as being compliant with the International Cyanide Management Code (ICMC).

With this achievement CyPlus again illustrates its commitment to being a reliable and experienced partner to the world’s mining industry in supplying cyanide as well as technologies and services supporting a continuous improvement in environmental, safety, health, and quality performance aspects.

The CyPlus integrated management system in conjunction with the full compliance with the ICMC aims at minimizing the risk to all employees, to the environment, and to the communities where the mines are operating.

The ICMC is a world-wide voluntary program for the gold mining industry. The Code was developed by a body of stakeholders, with a broad representation from the mining industry and cyanide manufacturers, such as CyPlus, as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations. The objective of the Code is to promote responsible management of cyanides, to enhance the protection of human health, and to reduce the potential for environmental impacts.

CyPlus is a worldwide leading company in cyanides. The wholly owned Evonik subsidiary supplies products to customers in the mining, chemical, pharmaceutical, and surface treatment industries. The company meets the extensive and strict requirements of the international mining industry as a supplier of cyanides in accordance with the provisions of the ICMC.
