CPM Acquires Cimbria Sket

CPM, a leading supplier of process equipment, process engineering solutions, and after market parts for the animal feed, oilseed, biofuels, and food processing industries, has acquired German-based Cimbria Sket. As CPM Sket, the new venture will continue its successful work in the oilseed processing industry.

Sket, also known as CSK, is a leading provider of engineered solutions and process equipment in preparation, refining, and oleochemical processing. Sket complements CPM’s Crown Iron Works, Roskamp Champion, and California Pellet Mill business units to create a broad oilseed-processing portfolio. Combined process solutions represent leading de-hulling, preparation, extraction, and refining technologies. Combined equipment solutions represent screw presses, cracking mills, deodorizers, flaking mills, oil extractors, pellet mills, and dryers.

“Crown and Sket have an impressive history of supplier collaboration delivering the most efficient and productive oilseed-processing systems in the world,” said Henning Noack, Sket managing director. “The marriage of these companies will be a great benefit to our customers and employees as we continue to develop leading process and equipment solutions.”

Ted Waitman, CPM president, adds, “This is an exciting day for our organizations. The combination of Crown and Sket creates the only single-source equipment supplier for complete oilseed preparation, extraction, oil refining, and oleochemical processes setting a new standard for excellence.”

Based in Germany, Sket operates from Magdeburg, Neuwied, and Dessau, representing oilseed technology, oleochemical technology, and screw press manufacturing centers respectively.

CPM business units include Crown Iron Works, California Pellet Mill, Roskamp Champion, Beta Raven, Century Extrusion, Ruiya Extrusion, Greenbank Technology, and Wolverine Proctor.
