Clampco Products Inc., a leading manufacturer of stainless steel clamp products, has announced the completion of its manufacturing plant expansion. The 18,750-sq-ft expansion was completed on schedule and will increase total manufacturing plant space at the Wadsworth, OH location to over 60,000 sq ft.

“This expansion is a result of forward thinking by our ownership to add space and manufacturing capacity in a down economy,” said Derek Sandborn, national sales and marketing manager at Clampco Products. “The additional square footage will allow for improved manufacturing flow and additional capacity required for many new OEM contracts secured in 2009 for pending 2010 Diesel Emission (DPF) projects.”

The expansion will also allow for further implementation of Lean Cellular Manufacturing and increased product warehouse area to accommodate Kanban and  JIT (just in time) daily shipments to OEM customers. “Industry best delivery lead times have brought an incredible amount of opportunities and new business to Clampco Products,” said Rick Gissinger, VP of operations at Clampco Products. “The expansion will strengthen our ability to provide customer deliveries 2-3 times faster than our competition,”
