Atlas Copco Compressors Announces Energy Saving Seminars

Atlas Copco Compressors LLC has announced four one-day Compressed Air Energy Saving Seminars to be held in early 2009 at four locations across the U.S. The seminars teach energy savings techniques and technologies for managers responsible for maintenance, plants, facilities, energy reduction, environmental programs, and quality control.

The seminars will be held in Charlotte, NC on Feb. 10, Houston on Feb. 17, Chicago on March 11, and Seattle on May 13.

“Our goal is to help managers and anyone managing compressed air systems learn real-world knowledge that can help them change their compressed air system to reduce energy consumption and save money,” said Frank Maskowitz, a 30-year veteran of plant engineering and compressor maintenance as well as an AirMaster+ instructor and Compressed Air Challenge instructor in fundamentals and advanced levels.

Maskowitz helps manufacturers optimize their compressed air and vacuum systems for energy and financial savings. Among the topics he will cover are: identifying energy and cost savings opportunities in facilities; reducing plant air demand; eliminating artificial demand; compressed air storage; piping; compressor controls; VSD; heat recovery.

Registration is $200 and includes continental breakfast and lunch, Best Practices Compressed Air System Manual, and a free air system assessment. The seminar runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and reservations can be made by calling the designated regional reservation line (Eastern/Charlotte 336-725-2395; South/Houston 281-776-4900; Central/Chicago 847-981-8995 ext. 200; Western/Seattle 206-244-3818).
