American Chemistry Council Launches Flagship Blog

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) has announced the launch of a new flagship blog, American Chemistry Matters. The blog provides an interactive space where ACC can highlight and respond to news coverage and discuss relevant policy issues and their effect on innovation, competitiveness, job creation, and safety. The blog will also regularly feature innovative contributions to society made by the business of chemistry.

“American Chemistry Matters will provide our members, news media, policymakers, and the public an online forum to discuss critical issues facing our industry and our country,” said Cal Dooley, ACC president and CEO. “As stakeholders increasingly turn to the internet for information, it’s important that the central role of chemistry in our economy and in making modern life possible be part of the conversation.”

Penned daily by Association staff and issue experts, including Dooley, American Chemistry Matters focuses on key advocacy issues related to chemical regulation, energy, sustainability, innovation, jobs, and safety. The blog’s intended audience includes the 800,000 men and women employed by the chemistry industry, manufacturers around the world whose products are touched by chemistry, policymakers advocating on relevant issues, and the media that report on them.

ACC invites you to leave a comment. Inquiries, story ideas, and guest posts are welcomed and should be submitted to [email protected].
