Agenda Highlights, Sponsors Announced for Global Chemicals Management Conference

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the Society of Chemical Manufacturers and Affiliates (SOCMA) announced that Bergeson & Campbell P.C, Keller and Heckman LLP, and the China National Chemical Information Center have announced their sponsorship of this year’s GlobalChem Conference and Expo being held in Baltimore, March 29-31.

For more than 20 years, the GlobalChem Conference and Expo has provided an educational opportunity for chemical industry professionals. Participation in this conference will provide attendees with information and interaction with experts in areas like the U.S. Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), emerging issues and trends in the product stewardship arena, and international regulations.

“The way in which chemicals are regulated, both in America and around the globe, is rapidly changing and companies are working together to help shape a modern regulatory system that restores public confidence in how chemicals are managed,” said Mike Walls, vice president of regulatory and technical affairs. “By bringing together key experts and advisors, the GlobalChem Conference and Expo provides industry professionals with the information critical to understanding political and regulatory developments that affect chemicals management.”

“This year's GlobalChem will deliver the type of unique value that our industry expects from this premier event: a forward look, but also solutions to complying with today's existing regulations,” said Bill Allmond, SOCMA's vice president of government relations and ChemStewards. “From EPA to OSHA and California to China, GlobalChem will again explore a diversity of topics relevant to the chemical industry professional.”

This year, interactive sessions cover key information relating to important developments on the modernization of TSCA, Environmental Protection Agency activities, trends in global chemicals management programs, and more.
