Caretex Receives ISO 22000 Certification

As a pioneer within the container liner industry Caretex has recently been granted ISO 22000 certification, alongside with HACCP, GMP certification, by the leading international certification body of TÜV SÜD.

The ISO 22000 standard specifies requirements for a food safety management system where each organization in the supply chain need to demonstrate its ability to control food safety hazards in order to ensure that food is safe for human consumption.

As a part of the implementation of this food safety management system, the Caretex production facilities have been upgraded to comply with the strict and comprehensive standards in ISO 22000. Combined with its general ISO 9001:2008 quality assurance system, which has been the backbone of the organization for many years, Caretex not only ensures a consistency in product quality, but also that its products are safe for transportation of food stuff.

Its newly granted food safety certification ensures that Caretex liners are manufactured with food-grade materials and produced in a clean and healthy environment; strictly in accordance with the high standards, eliminating the contamination risks of materials used in the food and feed industry. Other industries with contamination concern such as the pharmaceutical, medical and petrochemical industries, can also benefit from Caretex liners, in order to ensure that their products are not exposed to contamination risks from the bulk packaging materials.

Caretex welcomes existing customers as well as potential customers to audit the ISO 22000 certified Caretex liner production at its manufacturing plants in Thailand.
