Specialty and custom chemical manufacturing firm MFG Chemical announced Monday that its production facility in Pasadena, TX has obtained ISO 9001: 2015 certification. The international standard covers requirements for a quality management system (QMS).

“We are proud to have achieved ISO 9001:2015 Certification on our Pasadena, TX plant,” MFG Chemical’s president and chief executive officer, Paul Turgeon, said in a company release. “This means that all four of MFG Chemical’s plants now meet the same high quality manufacturing standards.”

The company initiated an effort to secure ISO 9001:2015 certifications for its manufacturing facilities in October 2016. MFG Chemical’s three plants in Dalton, GA have bene audited and certified four times.

To obtain the certifications, MFG Chemical had to conduct an audit of its business processes and its product quality environments. ISO 9001:2015 is a process-oriented approach enabling manufacturers to continuously improve its products and services.

MFG Chemical serves a variety of markets, including personal care, agriculture, asphalt, paints and coatings, and water treatment.
