Pallmann Appoints Sales Manager in China

Pallmann, a German, world-leading size reduction technology company, has announced the appointment of Jie Tang as its first sales manager in China. As of June 1, Tang is in charge of all of Pallmann’s services in the Chinese market. Pallmann now has 10 employees in China.

A series of activities in the region have marked the expansion of the enterprise into the China market in recent months. In May, for example, the group had a stand at Chinaplas, and reported considerable interest.

The Shanghai branch is Pallmann’s second in Asia after the Beijing operation. Important markets for the company include plastics, chemical processing, and recycling (PPR), a powerful complement to the timber area taken care of by its Beijing branch.

The addition of Jie Tang to Pallmann’s Shanghai office has increased the overall strength of the group’s corporate operations. Jie Tang has considerable experience in the mechanical equipment industry. He previously worked for China-Britain Business Council (CBBC), BOC and other companies, and is familiar with the domestic market in the field of mechanical equipment. Rolf Gren, Pallmann’s senior executive vice-president said, “We believe that the appointment of Jie Tang will enable Pallmann to serve Chinese clients of its unique material refinement technology in a more efficient and professional way, and to play a positive role in the development of the recycling and reuse industry in China.”

Faced with increasingly severe pressure on resources and the environment, China has been vigorously developing recycling in recent years and has shown rapid development in the comprehensive utilization of resources. “Urban mining” is now an important expression in China. Tang said, “With the rapid economic development in China, industries involved in energy saving, environmental protection and resource recycling have all taken on increasing importance. The establishment of the Shanghai branch displays exactly the importance that Pallmann puts on the the Chinese market. We hope we can achieve mutual benefits with our clients while promoting sustainable development to create a more harmonious society.”
