Dover has acquired certain assets within Carter Day International Inc.'s petrochemical division.

Carter Day manufactures processing equipment for applications involving cereal grains and other free flowing granular materials. Applications include processing grains such as rice, barley, millet, and wheat.

The acquired assets will become part of the MAAG business unit within Dover's Pumps & Process Solutions segment, expanding MAAG's pelletizing-system portfolio of dewatering and drying equipment for the plastics industry with highly-engineered products and proprietary technologies, and also include complementary high-volume dryer technology to MAAG's existing portfolio.

"Consistent with our customer-centric strategy, this acquisition represents an important step forward and aligns with our commitment of providing our customers with the most effective and efficient solutions to meet their ever-growing needs," said Ueli Thuerig, President of MAAG Group.

Founded more than 70 years ago, Dover has approximately 24,000 employees and is headquartered in Downers Grove, IL.
