Asphalt Recycling with Horizontal Shaft Impactor

Stedman Grand Slam Horizontal Shaft Impactor
Stedman Grand Slam Horizontal Shaft Impactor

The Grand Slam Horizontal Shaft Impactor (HSI) is a versatile crusher design that can solve many size reduction problems, including the recycling of highway asphalt.

The 48x60 GS can process recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) at 300 tn/hr at standard settings, with the capability for more. HSIs are capable of high size reduction ratios up to 30 to 1 with no decrease in quality of the product even after long periods of operation. All types of material sizes and hardnesses can be crushed with minimal maintenance, producing a cubical particle shape, and allowing for size distribution control.

Product size is varied by changing rotor speed and the clearances between rotor breaker bars and apron breaker plates.

A Grand Slam HSI crusher is available for testing at Stedman’s testing and toll processing facility.
