Smico Ranked in 2015 Inc. 5000

Smico-Symons Screens has been recognized as the 853rd fastest-growing private company in the U.S.

The 2015 Inc. 5000 is the leading national award honoring excellence in entrepreneurial growth. Inc. nominates and ranks the Inc. 5000 winners according to their percentage revenue growth in 2011 to 2014.

In 1937, Frank Shidler founded Smico and began marketing his own screener designs to the milling and feed operation industries. In just 10 years, Shidler merged Smico with Productive Equipment and transitioned the two companies under the Smico name, headquartered in Oklahoma City. Today, Smico has become an established presence in the international markets of South America, Northern Canada, South Africa, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Singapore.

“Being able to identify our customer’s needs and continually adapt has allowed us to remain a top competitor in our industry. The acquisition and the transition into Smico-Symons in 2012 has provided us room for growth along with the establishment of a new world headquarters,” said Erick Heald, Smico CEO.

The annual Inc. 5000 event honoring all the companies on the list will be held Oct. 21-23 in Orlando, FL. Speakers include some of the greatest entrepreneurs of the generation, including Marcus Lemonis, host of the CNBC show “The Profit,” Robert Herjayec, one of the main “sharks” on ABC TV’s “Shark Tank,” KIND founder and CEO Daniel Lubetzsky, and co-founder of goodshop.com, JJ Ramberg. Smico-Symons will be honored at the star-studded Inc. 5000 black-tie gala on Friday Oct. 23 at the JW Marriott Orlando Great Lakes.
