Rotex Global, a leader in industrial screening and separation equipment and an operating company of Hillenbrand, Inc., today celebrates its 180th anniversary, cementing it as one of the oldest capital equipment manufacturers in the city.

Originally founded in 1844 as Straub Mill Co., Rotex Global has since expanded to four manufacturing facilities around the world while continuing to call Cincinnati its home, employing hundreds throughout the region. Since the company's founding, it has transformed into a leading manufacturer of industrial separation, sifting, and seed and grain cleaning equipment for industries that include agriculture, recycling, industrial minerals, fertilizers, and food.

"The keys to our longevity all center around our people, our constant focus on optimizing our customers' processes, our ingenuity in developing new solutions, and our willingness and ability to expand into diversified markets and geographies,” said Lawrence Rentz, president of Rotex Global. “We're proud to call Cincinnati our home for so long and are thrilled to celebrate such an important milestone for our company."

Hillenbrand, a leading global provider of processing equipment and solutions, acquired Rotex Global in 2011.

“For more than 10 years, Rotex has played a key role in Hillenbrand's transformation to a global industrial company providing mission-critical technologies and solutions to customers around the world,” said Kim Ryan, CEO of Hillenbrand. “We’re proud of the role Rotex plays in our portfolio today, but more so of the difference the company, and its people, have made for customers and the communities it has served for 180 years. We look forward to many more successes and congratulate Rotex on this significant milestone.”
