Prater-Sterling's "Airlock Express" Van Now Includes IMI’s Separation Products

Designed to demonstrate its equipment for the powder and bulk solids industry, Prater-Sterling's "Airlock Express" van has been updated with magnetic separation products from parent company Industrial Magnetics Inc., which acquired Prater-Sterling in May, 2014.

The vehicle typically travels through the states of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa, and has made more than 250 plant visits to date. Its purpose is to give customers an opportunity for a "hands-on" product experience to aid them in their purchasing decisions, and to provide after-sale product training.

"Interestingly, we had been considering the concept of a demonstration van at IMI for a number of years,” said president, Dennis O’Leary. “When we discovered that Prater-Sterling was already providing this service to their customers, it became an instant value-add for the IMI brand because it provided another platform to show our capabilities."

Products currently displayed in the van include a variety of Prater airlocks and wear coatings, as well as IMI magnetic separators for both gravity feed and pneumatic line conveying. Site visits are free of charge and can be scheduled by calling 1-877-247-5625.
