The new CG-X magnetic separator removes ferrous and stainless contamination from base materials such as lithium, carbon black, and cobalt to create high-purity products with less than PPB contamination.

Magnetic flux density without screens is 6000 Gauss, and with the screen set the flux density increases to 185000 to 19500 Gauss, depending on the model. The CG-X has 181% of the flux density of the company’s previous high flux density units. This leap in flux density is the reason the purity levels jump from PPM to PPB level.

The CG-X measures 98.43 x 59.06 x 62.6 in. Three models are available with increasing throughput: Model CG-150X-1, CG-250X-1, and CG-300X-1.

Multiple screen designs are available to fit the specific application, including standard screen with 5-, 7-, 10-, 12-, 15-, or 20-mm pitch, honeycomb, ring, and micro-pitch. The number of screens vary by model: the CG-150X-1 has 20 screens; the CG-250X-1 has 17 screens; the CG-300X-1 has 17 screens.
