Fortress Technology, a global leader in manufacturing custom metal detectors, announces the January 2015 move of its Brazilian manufacturing and sales office to a larger facility to meet production demands for Latin America.
Business has increased dramatically for Fortress in Brazil. A move in June 2012 into a 13,000-sq-ft facility was quickly outgrown in only two years. “We are very pleased about the unprecedented growth we’ve achieved in such a short time and the support from our customers,” said Pierre DiGirolamo, executive director of Brazilian operations. “This new 33,000-sq-ft facility will continue to support us in becoming the preferred source of metal detection solutions in Brazil and Latin America. We look forward to challenge of outgrowing this facility, while continuing to exceed the expectations of our customers.”
Fortress Technology has been custom manufacturing metal detection solutions in Brazil since 2005 for the food, beverage, and manufacturing industries. The 33,000-sq-ft facility located in Vila Rosina, Caieiras, São Paulo will dramatically increase the manufacturing capacity in response to customer demand and the growth its clients are experiencing in the region.
