Eriez Offers Free Downloadable PDF on Cabinet X-Ray Inspection Systems

X-ray safety precautions, operator requirements, and radiation emission standards are some of the topics addressed in a new FAQ document offered by Eriez. Online users can download the PDF by visiting www.eriez.com/products/xray and clicking “X-Ray Frequently Asked Questions.”

“X-ray systems have become a popular method of detection because they enable customers to detect more than just metal contaminants,” said Ray Spurgeon, x-ray product manager. “This FAQ document is a great tool for anyone seeking general information about x-ray technology, safety, and capabilities. It also clears up common misconceptions about x-ray technology.”

For example, the FAQ document addresses the myth that food products can be irradiated if passed through an Eriez x-ray system. It explains that there are no known adverse effects from eating food that has been scanned by the low-energy used in Eriez’ cabinet x-ray systems.

E-Z Tec x-ray inspection systems employ advanced linear array technology for superior sensitivity, speed, and sophistication for both loose product flow and packaged inspection. The units provide real time analysis to monitor product and package attributes such as count, mass, fill level, fat analysis, broken or damaged product, and dangerous contaminants. The systems feature a rugged stainless steel cabinet, a large 15-in. color touch screen display and sophisticated image processing software.
